The EU Negotiation and Communication Techniques Training was held between the dates 21-23 February.
The training provided by the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) facilitated participants on the use and development of effective techniques in multilateral negotiation processes of the EU decision-taking mechanisms.
During the training, participants were provided by methodological and practical examples and tactics on what are the main decision making fora in the EU where Member State interests are represented, the difference between formal and informal negotiations and when to resort to each of them, in the specific matter of defending national interests, how to define a negotiation strategy, enforce a negotiation mandate and master the most frequently encountered tactics used in negotiations.
