Within the scope of Turkey-EU Financial Cooperation IPA-II process, 13 projects were programmed between 2014 and 2020 in the Fundamental Rights Sub-Field, with a total budget of approximately 42 million Euros. The implementation phase of 6 projects continues while 6 projects have been completed.

In the Fundamental Rights field, various institutions and organizations carry out projects, such as the Constitutional Court, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of National Education, the Ombudsman Institution and the Union of Turkish Bar Associations.

Projects are implemented on topics such as freedom of assembly, training of law enforcement officers, supporting the capacity of institutions in the field of human rights, the mechanism of individual application to the Constitutional Court, and strengthening the women’s and children’s rights, in line with Türkiye’s priorities in the EU accession process.
