The First Steering Committee Meeting of the Technical Assistance for Strengthening Fundamental Rights Sector Coordination Project was hosted by the Directorate for EU Affairs on 11 March 2022. The project aims to strengthen the institutional cooperation and coordination in the fundamental rights field.

The meeting welcomed 37 representatives from important stakeholders such as Presidency of the Constitutional Court, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Family and Social Services, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of National Education, Ombudsman Institution, Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye, Personal Data Protection Institution, Union of Turkish Bar Associations, Union of Municipalities of Türkiye, and Central Finance and Contracts Unit. During the hybrid meeting, participants exchanged views on the activities to be carried out during the initial phase of the project and the first six-month implementation period.
