The Closing Event of “Technical Assistance Project for Establishing Strong Monitoring, Evaluation and Coordination Mechanism for National Roma Integration Strategy” was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı on 2 February 2023. The project has been financed under IPA Fundamental Rights Sub-field, in which the Directorate for EU Affairs assumes the role of Lead Institution.

With the project that will the contributions of the Türkiye’s EU Accession, an IT-based monitoring and evaluation mechanism was established to support the effective implementation of the new Strategy Paper for Roma Citizens. The implementation of the Strategy Document and Action Plans for Roma Citizens will closely monitored be monitored via this mechanism and the outputs of the system will support evidence-based policy making to enhance rights of the Roma citizens in the coming period.
