The first phase of Thematic Training on Prevention of Torture and Ill-Treatment was held on 19-20 January with 31 participants from IPA Fundametal Rights stakeholders.

Under the instructions of Tuğçe Duygu Köksal, training covered EU acquis, Council of Europe standards and good practices in EU member states in this field. In addition, the relevant EU strategy and policy documents, the instruments of international organizations such as the Council of Europe and the UN were addressed.
