Our thematic meeting series, the main element of IPA Fundamental Rights Sector Coordination Platform, started with the Womens’s Rights on 13 January 2023.

Participants from public institutions,Council of Europe, UN Women, UNFPA and relevant NGOs addressed policies and activities as well as ongoing projects on women’s rights and discussed future project ideas under IPA Fundamental Rights along with possible cooperation to better protect and promote women’s rights.

Thematic meetings contribute to the dialogue process in various fields of fundamental rights and provides an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and communication among IPA Fundamental Rights stakeholders.

While sharing information about the activities and projects carried out in the theme discussed at the meetings; participants have the opportunity to discuss together cooperation possibilities and institutional capacity needs. Thus, an effective coordination, effective communication and complementarity in the relevant field is ensured.
