Within the framework of the IPA II (2014–2020) period, the Joint Sectoral Monitoring Committee Meeting covering the areas of fundamental rights and civil society—Lead Institution is the Directorate for EU Affairs—and the judiciary—Lead Institution is the Ministry of Justice—was held on June 4, 2024, co-chaired by the EU Delegation to Türkiye and the the Directorate for EU Affairs.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the National IPA Coordinator (NIPAC), the Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU), the National Authorising Officer from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Audit Authority, beneficiary institutions, and international organizations.

During the meeting, the Committee members were briefed on the progress achieved in all three areas and the current status of implementation processes. Project-related indicators and achievements were also discussed.
