The last of our trainings on the integration of fundamental rights and gender equality perspective to disaster management was held on 7-8 May with the participation of representatives of local administrations and CSO’s from the provinces most affected by disasters and at risk of disasters.
The training provided information on human rights-based approaches to disaster risk reduction and international frameworks and standards. Additionally, the importance of continuity of fundamental rights and services in disaster risk reduction efforts and enhancing social resilience was emphasized from the perspective of vulnerable groups. 57 representatives (28 women & 29 men) attended the training.
