The second Steering Committee meeting of the Horizontal Facility Support Program, which includes 4 projects benefiting institutions from Türkiye and is implemented by the Council of Europe, was held in Ankara on December 3, 2024.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Council of Europe, the EU Delegation to Türkiye, the Directorate for EU Affairs, the Fundamental Rights Lead Institution, as well as project beneficiaries and civil society organizations. Progress on the projects was reviewed.

The projects discussed included Supporting the Protection of Human Rights in the Context of Migration, Combating Money Laundering in Türkiye, Strengthening Women’s Access to Justice, and the Pilot Project on Digital Citizenship Education in Türkiye. The importance of ensuring complementarity among these projects—especially with those in the Fundamental Rights Sector and other IPA projects—was emphasized.
