Training on Fundamental Rights for Law Enforcement 21 – 22 August 2023

The trainings which aim to strengthen the institutional capacity of law enforcement forces regarding EU standards on fundamental rights have started within the scope of the Strengthening Fundamental Rights Sector Coordination Project.  The first training on, Fundamental Rights for Law Enforcement was held in Zonguldak on August 21-22 with the participation of law enforcement officials.

On the first day of the training, the EU acquis and international standards and practices on the promotion and protection of fundamental rights in Türkiye’s EU accession process, as well as combating violence against women and domestic violence were discussed with the supervision of instructor Dr. Sibel Özdemir. On the second day, the issues of freedom of assembly and association and prevention of torture and ill-treatment were discussed with trainer Lawyer Tuğçe Duygu Köksal.
